The option PHP CODE can be used to dynamically generate values by executing PHP code when outputting input fields in a custom field template. For example, you can use a title from the post data as a select box choice, or a list of users as a value choice, and so on.

PHP CODE can also be used when saving custom fields and outputting values, other than when outputting the input fields of a custom field template.

As with the template entry, the PHP CODE can be set up as many times as you like, with a new entry field appearing each time you save.
