This Auto Hook of `the_content()` function can be used for more than just outputting custom fields, but can be used to automatically insert a predefined string in the content.

Of course, you can also include the [cft] shortcode, which allows you to output custom fields before, after, or at a specified location in the content of every post. You can also filter the output by custom post type or category ID.

It is useful to be able to generate content independent of the theme, although it can be set up to output directly in the theme, such as a page template.
